Our Founding
Prestige Academic Prep was founded in May 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic – when parents and students everywhere needed more than just worksheets and screen time.
Our President, Jasmine Campbell, started her journey back in 2013 as a math tutor at the local community college. What began as one-on-one support quickly grew into a calling: to create a place where every student could receive the kind of personalized, compassionate, and culturally inclusive guidance that inspires a genuine love of learning.
What started as a virtual lifeline has since become a full-service academic hub, serving families from all over the tri-state area.
Today, Prestige offers tutoring from kindergarten through high school in core subjects, AP courses, test prep, and even pathways for college and trade school readiness. With two convenient Hagerstown locations, our new Martinsburg location, and flexible online sessions, we meet students where they are and help them grow into who they’re meant to be.

How do I know if my child needs tutoring?
Every child struggles from time to time, but if you notice falling grades, frustration with homework, or a lack of confidence in class, tutoring can make a big difference. Some families also seek tutoring proactively—not just to catch up, but to build stronger study skills, prepare for advanced courses, or give their child an extra boost of confidence.
How do you match my child with the right tutor?
We believe the right match is everything. During your consultation, we’ll learn about your child’s goals, learning style, and personality. Then, we carefully pair them with a tutor who not only knows the subject matter but also knows how to connect with your child. Many of our parents say the mentor-like relationships formed between tutors and students are what spark real change.
What results should I expect, and how quickly?
While every child is different, most families notice an improvement in confidence and motivation within the first few sessions. Academic progress builds over time, and we track it carefully with ongoing evaluations. Our goal isn’t just to prepare students for tomorrow’s test—it’s to help them develop lasting skills and a love of learning.
How involved will I be as a parent?
You won’t need to hover or manage tutoring on your own—we’ve got you covered. We keep you informed with updates, and we also collaborate directly with your child’s teachers and counselors to make sure progress is reinforced in the classroom. You’re always in the loop, but never overwhelmed.
Where and how are sessions held?
Families can choose what works best for them: in-person sessions at our Hagerstown locations (with a Martinsburg site opening in November 2025), or virtual sessions through Google Meet or Zoom. Whether online or face-to-face, our tutors create an engaging, structured environment where students feel supported.
