Ashley Mason Armstrong

All Subjects Tutor – Math & English Focus

Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from Walden University and has been tutoring with Prestige Academic Prep for four years. She works with students from Pre-K through high school in English, Math, Science, and History, with particular strengths in Math and English. She also specializes in early literacy and reading development.

Ashley believes that getting to know each student is an important part of effective tutoring. She takes time to listen to students, understand their learning preferences, and identify areas where they may need additional support. She uses low-pressure assessments to identify specific knowledge gaps and establish a starting point before creating a plan that fits the individual student.

Kindness, patience, and encouragement are central to Ashley’s tutoring approach. She uses positive reinforcement and helps students view mistakes as a normal part of learning. She pays close attention to patterns in students’ work and changes in their engagement so she can adjust her instruction when needed. Ashley also believes in setting attainable goals, creating clear learning plans, and giving students opportunities for early successes that can help build their confidence.

Outside of tutoring, Ashley works as an engineer focused on infrastructure operations with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She also serves as President and Administrator of the North Hagerstown High School Athletic Boosters, where she helps organize sponsorships and fundraising efforts to support student-athletes, and serves as a board member for the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. In her free time, Ashley enjoys volunteering in the community, fitness, traveling, and spending time with her two daughters.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son has been seeing Jasmine for Math and Stephanie for English, and they have both been incredible in helping enhance his learning capabilities. Kids these days often see their parents as “pressuring” them to work harder, when in reality, parents are simply trying to guide them onto the right path toward success.

I am truly grateful to have found Prestige Academy for helping guide my son toward academic success. He now actually looks forward to his sessions, and I have seen a tremendous amount of improvement in both his confidence and performance.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter has been attending tutoring sessions here, and it has helped her tremendously with math. I’ve seen a huge improvement in her confidence, understanding, and overall performance in school. The owner runs the business very professionally and clearly cares about the success of every child. The staff she hires are all incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They really take the time to make sure the kids understand the material while making them feel comfortable and supported. I highly recommend these tutoring services to any parent looking to help their child succeed academically.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We called Prestige in a bit of a panic with just 4 weeks left in the grading period. My daughter was taking an Honors level Geometry class which is a year-long high school class shortened to one semester.

After speaking with Jasmine, she was able to accommodate our need. My daughter received tutoring beginning THAT evening. Like most, we are a very busy family and Jasmine was able to carve out a tutoring plan based on our schedule and our daughter's needs, through the end of the grading period.

About halfway through we needed to pivot and add in additional turoring for another high level test. We again contacted Jasmine and she made it happen. We were able to add additional tutoring to our original timeframe.

Ultimately, tutoring is complete however we are atill.waitimg on testing results. Jasmine instilled confidence and knowledge effortlessly. We will be utilizing Prestige again in the future. Good folks here!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My two kids are being tutored here and they love their tutors! Jasmine (the owner) did a fantastic job of matching tutors with their needs both academically and personality-wise. The onboarding experience was smooth and seamless, the apps she uses for comms with parents are great, and Jasmine and the tutors are really responsive via text.
Both my kids have extracurricular activities that sometimes conflict with their sessions, and everyone is really gracious about moving things around to make it work. I cannot speak to academic outcomes yet, so I'll have to wait to see until the end of the school year, but so far so good!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our family has had an excellent experience with Prestige Academic Prep. Both our elementary and high school students have received personalized support that has made a noticeable difference. Most importantly, our high schooler was able to understand an algebra concepts that she had previously been a significant challenge. The scheduling options are convenient, and the location is clean, easy to find, and provides a bright, welcoming environment for learning. We are very pleased with the quality of instruction and highly recommend this service.
